February 2008 - Edwin F. Boyd IV

In the spotlight this month is Edwin (Tad) F. Boyd IV. Tad joined MLC & Associates, Inc. in March of 2007 to bolster the Organizational Development and Security practice areas. He has a diverse background in high risk environments, both occupationally and financially. His background includes experience in sales, marketing, conflict management, investigations, small business management, project management, and risk tolerance.

Tad graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelors degree in Anthropology, and an academic minor in Psychology.

After completing his studies at USC, he joined the staff of a 60 year old investigations company in the Los Angeles area. Although he began as a field investigator, his analytical skills were soon put to use as the assistant supervisor for the Special Investigations Unit, one of the units he would run for that company.

Throughout his educational and professional careers, Mr. Boyd has maintained involvement in a number of nonprofit companies, in wide variety of capacities. He has been responsible for project management, fundraising, volunteer retention, and service delivery functions at various times.

Tad's interests and experiences have included a variety of risk management, risk mitigation, and emergency preparedness certifications. These experiences, coupled with his investigative background have uniquely prepared him for the organizational and technical issues faced in the fields of change management and continuity assurance.

Tad enjoys the company sport (golf) and is continuing to develop his skills in Chinese martial arts, as well as a number of foreign languages. His wife, Stephanie, is a registered nurse with a specialty in Maternity working in Los Angeles. They are the proud parents of Bailey, a golden retriever of inestimable charm and class.
